Description
TCL C7L is a 2026 mainstream mini LED LCD TV from TCL's lineup and it is a successor to C7K from 2025. It will be available also under C79L and MSQLED85L designations based on TCL’s presentation shared in May.
What changes does it bring compared to C7K?
Fewer screen sizes - It won’t be available in the smallest 50” and the biggest 115” screen sizes - those will continue to be available with the old model.
Next, it uses TCL’s latest generation of LED backlight with more precise driving and a slightly higher number of dimming zones. Like with all other models, the bigger the screen size, the more dimming zones the TV has. Peak brightness values are the same as last year.
Thanks to the improvement in the quantum dot enhancement layer, which TCL calls Super Quantum Dot (SQD), C7L is capable or displaying a wider color gamut than its predecessor.
Related to the LCD panel itself, the new model has better reflection absorption.
On the software side, it adds Dolby Vision Filmmaker mode as well as improvements to the Intelligent mode.
Just like last year, I expect C7L to be a very popular choice, but not right now as it just came to the market and its price is significantly higher than that of C7K.
