Description
July 24, 2026
Sacramento Regional Transit light rail trains pass through the Sutter Street railroad crossing arriving and departing the Historic Folsom Station on the SACRT Gold Line in Folsom, California. Of course a truck is timed to come when the first train comes leading to me being here longer.
If you noticed, this crossing problem was fixed that SACRT had to set the crossing to not activate until the trains coming outbound stop by it at the wayside aspect signal as it wasn't its normal automatic occasional traffic priority function that would rarely happen at this crossing anyways as it's not at a traffic signalized intersection. Not sure what was the problem all those months but it's finally been fixed. This section of the Gold Line is loaded with operation problems that weren't fixed during the 2024 double tracking construction at Glenn that upgraded wayside aspect functions between here and Sunrise Station. Also, the same said section usually shuts down when it gets too hot in the 100 degree range and a bus shuttle bridge would be put in place. Not sure why SACRT won't look into fixing the problems in this section to make it reliable.
