Sonic Rushed is a Rom Modification of Sonic the Hedgehog for the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive, created by AtzelSrh & various others, featured as an entry to the 2026 Sonic Hacking Contest!

The entry here aims to include an interesting story, featuring new level designs, custom art and music, gameplay changes, and more.

*This demo contains 5 playable acts:*
• Paradise Hill - Act 1, Act 2, Act 3;
• Ice Cap - Act 1;
• Final Destiny - Act 1.
*Abilities*
Sonic's Dodge: When reaching a certain speed, Sonic can automatically dodge enemies without losing speed.
Double Jump: Press A twice to perform a second jump in the air.
Directional Air Dash: Hold B in the air to charge the move and aim either horizontally or vertically. Release **B** to launch yourself in the chosen direction.
Directional Spin Dash: While charging the Spin Dash on the ground, you can choose the horizontal direction Sonic will launch himself.

*Paradise Hill Mechanics*
Buzz Bomber: When colliding with a Buzz Bomber, Sonic receives a horizontal boost that can be used to move quickly through the level.
Crabmeat: When colliding with a Crabmeat, Sonic receives a vertical boost that can be used to reach higher places.
*Ice Cap Mechanics*
Surf: Sonic starts the level surfing across the snow.
Freezing: If a Buzz Bomber shoots Sonic, he will be frozen for 2 seconds and take damage.
*Final Destiny Mechanics*
Injured Sonic: Due to a huge explosion, Sonic becomes injured and vulnerable, losing his abilities.
No Special Abilities: Sonic will not be able to perform the Double Jump, Air Dash, or Spin Dash. He also cannot roll.
*Voices*
Sonic and Eggman: Both characters currently have voice lines in Spanish. Engligh voice lines will be added in future updates.
Audio Issues: Some voice lines may not play correctly due to bugs in this version. These issues will be fixed in future updates.

This is an early version of the project created for SHC '26. The demo is still in development, so it may contain bugs, unfinished content, and other issues that will be fixed or changed in future updates.
