*Entry Overview*
"Welcome back to the ancient lava-filled ruins of South Island! Years of neglect has put this purple dungeon into a sorry state, especially in the deeper areas where more plant-life has grown over the ruins. Make sure to take care of yourself, or else you'll either be roasted,
squashed, pricked, or all of the above!"
The entry here is the creators take on a throwback stage for Sonic Mania in the form of Marble Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog video game.
Ever since the game came out, Marble only had one other appearance in the form of race courses in Sonic Drift. There have been a few mods seen that feature Marble Zone, most notably in Sonic 1: Almost Remastered (by Bonus Burger) and The Misfits Pack (by Jubbalub). Inspired by those two in particular, as well as other mods/hacks that feature this scorching level, the creator made their own version of Marble Zone. This takes Lava Reef’s slot.

*Notable Issues*
• If you allow the transition cutscene to play, act 2 will display the wrong colors. To avoid this, just press the enter key (or start button on controller) and the level will load just fine. An alternative way it can be fixed is when you come out from a Special/Bonus stage, lose a life, or simply restart the level via. the pause menu.
• More of a visual issue: The proper zone enemies (Buzz Bomber, Bat Brain, and Caterkiller) do not show up correctly in-game and instead appear as title card graphics or similar. They do behave normally as intended at least..
*There’s no boss battle in Act 2, just to point this out.*
