She Covered Her Damaged Big Toenails for a Wedding… Here’s What Happened

Description

In today’s video, this client is back for her third visit with me, and her toenail restoration journey has a real-life setback.

She had been making progress, but before her daughter’s wedding, she had acrylic added to her toenails so they would look nice for the event. I completely understand why someone would want their feet to look pretty for a special day, but damaged or lifted toenails need the right environment to continue improving.

When acrylic or product is added over a toenail that is still trying to recover, it can sometimes slow the progress down. It can hide what is happening underneath, hold pressure, and make it harder to monitor whether the nail is improving.

In this appointment, I carefully clean, reduce, and reshape the toenails so we can get them back on track. Even with the setback, her toenails are getting very close to looking normal again, which is why I always tell people not to give up too soon.

This video is helpful if you are wondering:Can a toenail reattach to the nail bed?
Can a damaged toenail grow back normal?
Should acrylic be put over a damaged toenail?
Why does my toenail look lifted?
How long does toenail restoration take?
Can toenails improve after a setback?
