Sharjah has introduced a firefighting motorcycle to speed up emergency response.
Designed to navigate heavy traffic, the new bike allows Civil Defence teams to reach fire scenes faster and begin initial firefighting measures before larger fire engines arrive.
The initiative is part of Sharjah's broader push to strengthen fire safety, especially during the summer months when soaring temperatures increase the risk of fires caused by overloaded electrical systems and air-conditioning units.
Alongside the new motorcycle, authorities are stepping up inspections of fire safety systems and continuing projects to upgrade buildings with
fire-resistant materials.
