After weeks of uncertainty, passport services are back.
Long queues formed outside Alhind's Bur Dubai centre before sunrise as Indian expats rushed to renew passports after weeks of disruption.
Many arrived as early as 5:45am, relieved that outsourced consular services had finally resumed. For some, like residents needing urgent travel or visa renewals, the reopening came just in time.
Nearly 2,000 appointments were booked within minutes of the announcement, with demand expected to remain high in the coming days.
New appointment slots will be released daily at 9am and 9pm.
