A rare collection of Begum Akhtar singing ghazals at a private gathering. Believed to be Begum Akhtar's last recital from October 1974 for about 30 people. Some of these ghazals have never before been heard in the public domain. She sang until early morning hours. Then traveled to Ahmedabad the following day and passed away.
Unfortunately, much of the recording was lost, in part to the Bombay monsoon. You can hear her jovial mood.
