Description
Vinod Khosla, a longtime San Francisco 49ers fan and minority investor in the team, is part of the family group with a deal in place to buy the Seattle Seahawks for a record-setting price of nearly $10 billion.
Now comes the multibillion-dollar question: What does the family plan to do with the team?
The Seahawks announced Saturday that the franchise is being sold to the Khosla family, in accordance with the wishes of late team owner Paul Allen. The sale is still pending approval from NFL owners.
The Associated Press reported the deal was valued at $9.6 billion, surpassing the $6.05 billion sale of the Washington Commanders in 2023 as the most expensive NFL franchise sale ever.
