Description
Firstly, huge thanks for this video go to "Cardcaptor Sakura" super fan, @cardcaptorsakura / 林則徐(量子之風)/ 月兔放送局 that shared this and several other lost CCS games so I can feature them on the channel and help preserve them! You can follow them at the below links:

Secondly, the move is taking longer than I thought and I didn't realize how much stuff I accumulated in 10 years... I'm getting whopped, lol. Anyway, as I stated in the community posts, I have several videos that I'm releasing in the interim, although I wasn't anticipating getting this and threw it in quickly. This is a video for Harukaze's sequel to "Sakura-chan GO!GO!" that came out in 2000. They are better known for their "Shoot" games ("Ragshoot!", a "Ragnarok Online" shooter and "Mayushoot!", an "Ukagaka" shooter), "Angelic Field" (an "Angelic Layer" fighting game) and "Ukagaka" doujin games such as "Ukagaka no Bouken" (which pays homage to some animes and Namco's "Legend of Valkyrie" series) as shown here:

As a horizontal scrolling shooter, it would probably be better to call it a mini-game as it is almost devoid of configurable options (you can alter the framerate and ...) and consists of only four stages, although this game has a basic plot and ending as well as more variety in the levels and enemy designs, feeling like a proper game. Perhaps because of its simplicity, I was able to boot it up in a Windows 11 environment with no issues at all, although the game is temperamental when recording in anything other than fullscreen. It is based on CLAMP's famous "Cardcaptor Sakura" franchise. This is an interesting game from the perspective of posterity as you can see a clear evolution in Harukaze's games, although there isn't anything inherently wrong with this game if viewed as a training exercise.
Sakura has three types of shots (Normal, Wide and Laser) and two types of bombs. The game has been rebalanced somewhat as bombs are stronger and have specific hit areas, although Sakura is a tad too powerful as a whole this time around. Red talismans will call forth Tomoyo and blue talismans will call forth Syaoran and while they don't clear the screen of bullets, both will make you temporarily invincible. When power-ups litter the screen, they will cycle through and talismans make short work of all adversaries. You can charge your shot and shoot at the same time (although not with a bomb) with charging summoning a bunch of Cerberus (Kero) which does decent additional damage. There are no desserts to get in this one, so you're mainly getting points for how many enemies you destroy. The game's bosses aren't too spongy and they don't seem to run away in this game unlike the previous game.
The game looks better than the first with better art and more animation (including new sprites for Tomoyo and Syaoran, and I like how Sakura's outfits change in accordance with one of Tomoyo's "traits"), although it seems less stable; the framerate generally sticks near 60FPS (you can set it to 30, 60 or uncapped) but the game slows down to a crawl when using the laser weapon, so I barely use it (it also does negligible damage at level 1). The soundtrack has a little more variety than the first game. This is a video of the game in action. You can get the game at:
