I have found out long ago that the vintage speakers from 1960s style stereos can make good ham radio communication speakers. Put them in any kind of box you have - even heavy cardboard boxes - and they sound great. Much of my equipment is vintage and some only have 500 ohm speaker output so putting a 4 or 8 ohm speaker on that is really low in volume. This little box adapts the 4 ohm speaker to either 4 or 500 ohms.
