Heavy Karma Ahead: Rahu–Ketu Shift into Capricorn and Cancer
From December 26, 2026 through May 28, 2028, Rahu and Ketu move into the Capricorn–Cancer axis, beginning a major karmic reset around ambition, responsibility, emotional security, and attachment.
Rahu in Capricorn intensifies the drive to build, achieve, organize, and gain tangible results. Career, status, leadership, institutions, and long-term goals can become much more important. This can be productive, but Rahu always magnifies desire. The shadow is overwork, control, ruthlessness, and becoming so focused on achievement that emotional sensitivity gets pushed aside.
Ketu in Cancer works in the opposite direction. It begins loosening old attachments to family patterns, nostalgia, protection, emotional dependency, and familiar comfort zones. Things that once made us feel safe may no longer feel satisfying. Ketu asks us to release what has become emotionally confining.
This creates the central tension of the transit: worldly responsibility versus emotional safety.
The lesson is not to reject either side. We are being asked to become more mature, independent, and capable without becoming cold, isolated, or disconnected from the heart.
This nodal shift will activate different life areas for each of the 12 signs, showing where growth is accelerating—and where old attachments are ready to fall away.
