Description
A police motorcycle escort led a procession on Monday carrying the body of Adam Sherifi, a Van Zandt County sheriff’s deputy who was killed last week. His body was transported approximately 64 miles, from the Dallas County medical examiner’s office to Canton, where his funeral will be held on Wednesday.
Sherifi was fatally shot by a suspect on Oct. 20 while helping serve arrest warrants. The suspect fired more than 800 rounds in the shootout.
