Portable Ham Radio Anywhere Anytime | Montage
This is a short portable ham radio montage video from mid-summer weekend in KP34XT near Puolanka Finland. We rode out into the forest hills of the area, scouting for unexplored roads, potential camps sites, and potential sites for future radio activations.
I operated the Icom IC-705 QRP at 5-watts into the Chameleon MPAS. I chose the IC-705 for its data capabilities, and antenna for its rapid setup time. We had not known about this location previously, and was found by chance during our ATV exploration of the area. The lake seen in the video is called Haukijärvi which was at 246 meters or 807 feet above sea level.
