Description
An Alabama police officer is out of two jobs following a viral traffic stop video in which he exhibited “unprofessional” and “aggressive” behavior.
In videos posted on Facebook by Trista Marie Chaviers, she and her husband, Jackson Chaviers, are seen talking to an officer in Crossville as he repeatedly tells the couple to “shut up.”
Jackson was subsequently handcuffed by another officer after standing up for his wife when the initial officer told Trista to “shut up.”
Crossville Mayor Roger Richards identified the officer as Officer Harrelson in a Facebook post Oct. 26 announcing that he had been fired from the town’s police department.
Richards said Harrelson was a full-time officer with Crossville but was working as a part-time officer for the Geraldine Police Department at the time of the traffic stop.
