What a crazy week it has been in the US (and a few other countries) -- after the release of Pokemon GO on July 6, 2016, the world has completely changed. Like, no joke.
I, too, started my adventures as a Pokemon trainer, and although I'm not as hardcore as some of my other friends, I'm level 14 and proud to be on TEAM VALOR. :) It has been overwhelming living in a crazy city like NYC, which I once counted over 50+ lures in less than half a mile radius from Times Square.
There's so much going on because of this game, I feel like I almost can't keep up after a certain point. But it's kind of cool to realize that we're a part of this crazy history now -- something we can talk about to our kids one day in the future. And I love that it's allowing people to form friendships they never would've made and allowing people to step out of their comfort zones and trying out new things (talking to strangers, exercising, etc.).
Not sure how many of y'all pay attention to the music for Pokemon GO, but after listening to it one too many times while playing, I thought it'd be a great idea to put my own spin to it on the piano. As I do with most of my arrangements, I wanted to honor the original soundtrack by not taking it too far out of hand so I kept the simplicity of the music as much as I could without it being too "boring". There's only one other prominent soundtrack in the game, and that's the battle theme when capturing Pokemon. I'm thinking of arranging that as well. :)
Happy poké-hunting, and ENJOY!!
