Peter Lindenberg is back.
One of South Africa’s most decorated motorsport figures has announced he will return to racing for one final year in 2027 — the 50th anniversary season of Lindenberg Racing.
In this video, Peter explains why he’s coming out of retirement (it’s not about winning), how a last-minute drive at Passion for Speed this year helped spark the decision, and what it means to honour sponsors and partners who have stood by the team for decades — some for more than 40 years.
At 71, he’s under no illusions about his speed or reactions. This is about presence, pride, family, and closing the chapter properly. The car will continue racing after 2027, with plans already being shaped for Paige and the team beyond that.
