It’s hatching day on the homestead! Today the kids and I are visiting our broody hen, Bucket, to see how many of her eggs have started to hatch. Bucket chose a very unusual place for her nest, and now we finally get to meet the tiny chicks she’s been sitting on.
We’ll also be trying something a little tricky — secretly sneaking three extra baby chicks into the family and hoping Bucket accepts them as her own. Come along for a sweet, funny, real-life farm day with our kids, our chicken, and a bucket full of baby chicks.
