Ohio Central crosses their own railroad on a hidden from view diamond Youngstown Ohio

Description

OHCR 2505 in the Youngstown Belt "identity" heads towards interchange on the Norfolk Southern Lordstown Secondary. The OHCR train will cross their own railroad at a diamond which the NS timetable refers to as Lead / Austintown (W&T RR). That track ends just beyond the switch since the railroad was too cheap to replace the bridge over the Mahoning River. I will link a video I did of the OHCR switching the industry that track exists for. I was set up for the ground shot at N West Ave. I got another shot of them under the Spring Common Bridge, a steel through arch crossing, that carries Mahoning Avenue over the railroad and the Mahoning River. Note the former B&O tracks and station on the other side of the river.

South of Briar Hill we caught OHCR 8702 spotting 2 bay hoppers at City Concrete. Later we caught this crew north in Girard switching out the pipe and scrap cars. These scenes were shot Furnace Ln, along Byers Ave where they pass under W Liberty St and west of the church parking lot at W Kline St.
