Description
Taken November 2024 on test track east of Erie where GE/Wabtec trials new and rebuilt locomotives. On this day they had 2012, 6006 and 9001. The main engine on trial here is the 9001 which is a FLX Battery Powered Engine built for BHP Australia. Still in primer at the time of filming, it has since been repainted. 6006 is a used engine, originally a CSX AC6000 later leased by the WNY&P. 2012 was the first AC Gevo built back in 2003 and has been working here since! Also the track parallel the CSX ex NYC line so we caught a passing freight train too!
