Newly isolated audio from the Sea Tow call is raising serious questions in the Nolan Wells investigation. Because the dispatcher and callers were recorded on separate stereo channels, I was able to mute the dispatcher’s side and focus on the frantic voices aboard the boat. The enhanced audio appears to capture people calling Nolan’s name, asking whether he is dead and telling someone to check his chest—despite public claims that Nolan never returned to the boat.
We’re breaking down the disturbing audio, the contradictions surrounding the boat’s movements and what those aboard the vessel may have known. Does this recording point to a possible cover-up, or is there another explanation? Nothing heard in the audio independently proves a crime, but investigators must determine exactly what was said, who said it and what was happening aboard that boat.
