Just one Crucible for this area. And all areas after the first one. This one is ice focused, which makes it an even bigger pain in the ass than the last one. See, when standing on the ice, if you get hit by an attack, you just get frozen instantly and the enemy can just get a ton of free shots. Frustrating.
The boss of the area is a wind focused boss, despite this being the ice crucible. He also gave me more trouble than most bosses in the game, between his Wind attacks afflicting you and his ridiculously high stamina draining attacks, he can shatter your guard in just 2 attacks. Which makes it very difficult to get your bearings on him, especially with how frequent and long range his attacks are. I ended up being forced to use ninja for the fight for the most part since I just HAD to dodge his attacks as blocking would probably only work if they were perfect parries.
Also, what the hell was going on with the story in this part? Midway through the crucible, we see Yoshitsune and Yoritomo fighting outside it, Yoritomo forces Yoshitsune inside and tells him to "turn into a Spirit Stone for him". Then next time we see them, they're both at the END of the crucible? Like we didn't even see Yoritomo go inside it and yet they both somehow got ahead of us?
Also they act like regular people can't enter the crucible but we've seen Tadakatsu and others fighting in here and they seemed just fine. Yoshitsune didn't even seem to have any trouble, although he is knocked out like instantly before we fight Yoritomo just so he won't help us against him lol.
And man they don't hardly build up Yoritomo at all, we barely see him before he's suddenly the final boss, they don't talk about his relationship with Yoshitsune, it all just happens, like you're just expected to either know about them or just not care.
Anyways, after beating him we go even much farther back in time into the time of Antiquity.
