Description

Short short project: Midnight Snack

One night in the heart of a slumbering jungle, a little monkey wakes up by their tummy's hungry growl. All the other animals wake up as well, startled and a bit worried about their friend. It’s right in that moment when the monkey looks up and sets eyes on the most precious meal one has ever seen: the golden, glowing banana-moon that adorns the jungle night sky!

But such a mission can’t be accomplished alone, and with the help of springy elephants, dancing hippos and acrobatic giraffes, they make their way through the jungle to the utmost perfect spot, in which all animals stack on top of each other with swinging fanfare to reach for their treat. But this particular banana turns out to be very, very big. A golden, family-sized midnight snack for everyone to enjoy!

About the Short, Short film project
Midnight Snack is part of The Short, Short film project. They are created by teams of 1st year Bachelor in Animation students of Character Animators and CG Artists. Over the course of 5 weeks, the students create lighthearted films for a pre-school audience at the core of the story. They are assigned two specific styles to mash up, as well as a number of keywords to base the narrative on – ranging from colors and emotions to more complex concepts.
