Einmal mehr ging es für mich in das wunderbare Elsass. Diese kleine Tour war wirklich besonders schön und daher war ich schon ein wenig traurig, als ich nach einem langen Wochenende wieder nach Hause musste.
Neben dem Besuch von Haute Koenigsbourg und dem Hartmannswillerkopf (mehr dazu bei anderer Gelegenheit) war der Hauptgrund für meinen Ausflug natürlich die Teilnahme an der Maquet Expo in Buhl. Eine kleine, sehr entspannte und familiäre Veranstaltung, bei der für alle etwas geboten war. Es ergaben sich viele wunderbare Gespräche und man konnte sich wirklich alles genau ansehen. Als besondere Anerkennung wurden wir mit dem ersten Preis für den schönsten Stand ausgezeichnet, neben einer Medaille und Urkunde gab es natürlich auch eine Flasche Wein dazu!
Als Bestandteil der Ausstellung fand vor der Tür auch noch ein Oldtimertreffen statt, bei dem es auch einige schöne Fahrzeuge zu bestaunen gab. Ich habe es mir daher nicht nehmen lassen auch meinen alten Benz mit hinzustellen. Das Konzept ist wirklich gut, zumal ein guter Teil der Fahrzeuge im Besitz der Modellbauer sind, die ja ohnehin auf die Ausstellung kommen.
Bei so vielen tollen Eindrücken ist für mich klar, dass ich auch beim nächsten Mal versuchen werde in Buhl mit dabei zu sein. Davon abgesehen gibt es auch noch einige weitere Ausstellungen im Elsass, die ich mit Sicherheit ebenfalls besuchen werde.

Once again i travelled to the wonderful Alsace region. This little tour was very nice in particular and because of that i was a little bit sad when i had to return home again.
Besides my visits of the Haute Koenigsbourg castle and the Hartmannswillerkopf mountain (more of that in the future) the main reason for my tour was of course the Maquet Expo in Buhl. A small, but pleasant and familial exhibition, which had something for everyone. I had the chance to talk to many wonderful people and have a close look at everything. Our presence was really appreciated, because we won the gold award for the best club display, alongside a medal and certificate we also got a bottle of wine!
As an addition to the exhibition there was also a classic car meeting in the parking lot, where many beautiful vehicles were on display. I felt like this was a good opportunity to park my old Benz there, too. It is a really good concept, especially since a good number of the vehicles are owned by the scale modellers, who go to the show anyway.
Thanks to all those amazing impressions it is clear to me that i will try to be at Buhl for the next show again. Apart from that there are many other scale model shows in Alsace, which i intend to visit as well.
