KORG Kronology - The History Of Korg Keyboards

Bonners Music: Pianos & Keyboards Stream 1 months ago

Description

Explore the history of Korg keyboards and synthesizers with Luke Edwards in Korg Kronology, a journey through more than 60 years of instruments, innovation and unforgettable sounds.

Recorded live at Bonners Milton Keynes, this presentation takes us from the early Doncamatic drum machine through analogue classics such as the MS-20, Mono/Poly and Polysix, to the M1, Wavestation, Trinity, Triton and today’s KRONOS.

Using the Korg KRONOS to demonstrate many of these distinctive sounds, Luke brings the story to life with live performances, familiar musical examples and stories behind the instruments. Hear the iconic M1 piano and organ, explore wave sequencing and physical modelling, and discover how ideas from earlier Korg instruments continue to inspire its keyboards today.

Along the way, we explore the arrival of MIDI, the development of keyboard workstations, the microKORG, KAOSS PAD, Electribe and Korg’s return to analogue synthesis.

Whether you played these instruments first time around or are discovering them for the first time, join us for an evening of keyboard history and musical nostalgia.
