Description
The Old Testament doesn't stand apart from the New Testament. Its people and events often foreshadow what will later be revealed and fulfilled in Jesus.
Joseph was the beloved son betrayed by his own brothers and sold into slavery. Jesus, the beloved Son of God, was betrayed by Judas for thirty pieces of silver and handed over to His Passion.
These parallels are not accidental. They show us that Jesus is the key to understanding the whole story of Scripture.
