A major issue has surfaced regarding the valuable land adjoining Panchsheel Enclave on Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Marg in Jaipur. Residents have alleged that while repeated attempts are being made to encroach upon the prime land along the main road, the regularisation of the colony and issuance of land leases (patta) continue to remain pending.
According to local residents, the matter concerns nearly 12,000 square yards of land adjoining Panchsheel Enclave and the 200-foot-wide strip on JLN Marg. They claim that due to the alleged delay in action by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), attempts to occupy the land are being made repeatedly.
As per information presented in legal proceedings, the JDA had reportedly informed the JDA Appellate Tribunal that the land had been duly surrendered to the authority and that the 90-A process for Panchsheel Enclave had already been completed. It was also stated that, under the State Government's orders, no construction can be carried out on the 200-foot-wide land without due approval.
Residents are demanding early regularisation of the colony and issuance of pattas while seeking strict action to prevent any alleged encroachment on the government land.
