There are two Steven Universe songs that have been ridiculously applicable to things in my life. For a long time I was the Rose Quartz in this little story... and these lyrics were once almost exactly the sentiment of my Pearl.
Funny how Rebbecca Sugar is so amazing at cutting straight to the heart, no? ♥
Also, when I heard the original song for this, I thought it would be nice to give it a feel of jazzy melancholy (TM) XD . . . like the style played by Chet Baker.
