ASUS just dropped pre-orders for the ROG Astral RTX 5090 Edition 20, but there’s a massive catch. Instead of selling this 20th anniversary monster as a standalone GPU, ASUS US has locked it behind a mandatory hardware bundle on their official web store.
Adding the required Edition 20 chassis, X870E motherboard with bundled AIO, and 3000W Titanium Thor power supply brings the total order to over ten thousand dollars before tax. Subtracting the $4,849.97 bundle cost leaves the standalone GPU at roughly $5,499.99—cheaper than European listings, but effectively useless if you can't actually buy the card on its own.
