The Tesla Model X only comes as a 6-seater, and because the second row captain chairs don't fold down, sleeping inside has always been a problem. DreamCase just released the first and only product that solves this. I tested the DreamCase 6-Seater Kit on an overnight car camping trip to see if it actually works.
The kit includes a three-part memory foam mattress, suspension bars, a topper, and a special bridge piece that goes between the captain chairs with magnetic legs. It is the only mattress on the market designed specifically for the 6-seater Model X. DreamCase actually told me they were inspired to build this after watching my video where I built a DIY solution with selfie sticks and tape.
I set everything up, cooked dinner at sunset, and spent the night using Tesla Camp Mode. The honest verdict: the mattress and upper body section are very comfortable, but the bridge piece between the captain chairs came loose once during the night because it relies on magnets. Velcro would fix this. Overall, it worked better than I expected, and it is the only real option if you want to sleep in a 6-seater Model X.
