Description
In this episode of my Camino de Santiago adventure, I continue my 500-mile journey across Spain, walking 47 miles from Molinaseca to Fillobal along the beautiful Camino Francés!
And let me tell you, the Camino continues to surprise me!
After the emotional experience of leaving my stone at the Iron Cross and dealing with some seriously painful blisters, it's time to keep moving west toward Santiago de Compostela.
But this stretch of the Camino has a little bit of everything! BEAUTIFUL CAMINO VILLAGES
My journey takes me from the charming village of Molinaseca, through the historic city of Ponferrada, and into the beautiful Bierzo region of Spain.
Along the way, I make my way toward Villafranca del Bierzo and eventually Fillobal, getting closer to the mountains of Galicia.
This part of the Camino is filled with beautiful countryside, vineyards, winding trails, historic villages, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop and appreciate just how incredible this pilgrimage really is.
THE CAMINO ISN'T ALWAYS EASY
By this point in my journey, I've already walked hundreds of miles. My feet have taken a beating, and every morning brings the challenge of getting up, putting on my backpack, and walking another day.
But that's one of the things I'm learning about the Camino.
You don't have to feel great to keep moving forward. Sometimes you just have to take the next step.
GEOCACHING MY WAY ACROSS SPAIN!
Of course, this wouldn't be an adventure with The Geocaching Vlogger without keeping an eye out for geocaches!
Geocaching has given me another way to explore the Camino, discover interesting places, and experience the journey from a different perspective.
From Molinaseca to Fillobal, this stretch reminds me why I decided to take on this incredible adventure in the first place.
The beautiful scenery. The physical challenges. The unexpected discoveries. And the opportunity to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the journey.
The Camino continues to teach me that the destination matters, but so does every single step along the way.
Buen Camino!
