Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open your Microsoft Word document and navigate to the page you want to change to landscape orientation.
Step 2. Place your cursor at the very beginning of the first line of text on that specific page.
Step 3. Click "Layout" in the top menu ribbon, click "Breaks," and then select "Next Page" under the Section Breaks section. This creates a break right before your page.
Step 4. Move your cursor to the very end of the text on that same page, right before the page breaks to the next one.
Step 5. Click "Layout" again, click "Breaks," and choose "Next Page" under Section Breaks one more time. Your target page is now isolated in its own section.
Step 6. Click anywhere on the text of your target page so your cursor is active on it.
Step 7. Click "Layout" in the top ribbon, click "Orientation," and then select "Landscape" from the menu. Only that specific page will change to landscape layout.
If your document has headers or footers, changing a page to landscape might cause them to look unaligned or different from the rest of your document. To fix this, you can double click the header or footer area on your landscape page to open the Header and Footer tab. Look at the top menu ribbon and click "Link to Previous" to turn it off. This unlinks the header and footer for this section, allowing you to independently adjust or delete the header and footer on the landscape page without affecting the portrait pages.
