The initial checkout of a Holmes Air branded 6" personal desk fan model HAFF-6. The unit was manufactured in the latter portion of 1987, making it likely to have been sold for the Summer of 1988.
Unlike many Holmes fans, these older Holmes Air branded fans were generally quite decent. This one is no exception. The performance is reasonable, good amount of air without excessive noise. The bearings are in need of service and the whole thing needs a good cleaning, both of which should further increase the performance.
There were some neat aesthetics put into the design of this unit. I really like this Holmes Air logo; a letter H and A are combined to form a house, a PUN on Holmes. The motor vents spell out HOLMES on the inside of the unit as well.
