Matt argues that Herodotus, often called the father of history, may have created a fraudulent story to conceal the true origin and purpose of the Great Pyramid. His guest points to one example, the account that King Khufu ran out of money before the pyramid was finished and sent his daughter to take lovers who each paid with a stone block. In the guest’s view, either Herodotus was misled by local guides entertaining him for money, or he deliberately rewrote history. Neither of them sees a version in which the story is true.
