This fight was the main event on the most recent Jamie Myer Productions promotion on Australia's Gold Coast and on paper, was a very evenly matched fight. Both boxers entered the ring with exactly the same number of professional fights under their belt (15 fights) with both boys sporting a similar win/loss ratio. Brett Peters, however, had the higher KO percentage of 60%. The matchmaking also pitted the boxer (Peters) against the fighter (Jamie Porter). It had all the hallmarks of a good fight, and so it proved to be.
