Fourth in Series: How to replace a Zipper in a Leather Jacket

Description

Now find your Zen Place.
Early in the morning, with coffee.
No interruptions.

This is the TOP STITCHING on the OUTSIDE of your jacket.
Hand roll your needle if necessary for precision!

When I start to sew at the bottom, or top, at this point, I start up from the bottom top stitching (that I didn't take out) then stitch BACKWARD to connect the stitching, THEN forward.

As I get to the plastic re-enforcement next to the pin or bayonet, I will back stitch here too. Just a few stitches.

Then carefully, with LONG STITCHES, continue stitching up the front of the jacket.

At the top, I tuck in the zipper tape & hit the top stitching around the collar. Backstitch just a couple of stitches & you are DONE!!!!!

Well, with one side.

Before stitching the other side, I put the zipper together again & check to make sure every horizontal line across the zipper lines up.

Remember: if you make a mistake on 1 side, line up the other side & it won't look like a mistake.

All my information is on my website, in case you need me.
Text me because the warehouse has a metal roof & my phone won't ring unless I'm standing in just the right spot.
I'll call back at the time you request & we can FaceTime.

Life is SHORT!
TODAY is the ADVENTURE!
