In today’s reef vlog, I’m keeping it real. We’re taking a deep dive into my three current setups—from a tank that is doing amazing to one that is an absolute algae disaster.
The "Ugly" Nem Tank: My 45-gallon anemone tank is currently in a brutal "ugly stage." I’m sharing the struggle with high nutrients, wet skimming, and what happens when old rock brings unexpected issues into a new setup.
The "Amazing" 24g Nano: Proof that ecosystems can rebound! My Japanese Pink Nepthea, Toadstools, and the Heliofungia mother colony are bouncing back after a major crash.
The 210g Mixed Reef: We’re checking in on the big tank, tracking alkalinity (getting it back up to 6.4!), and dealing with the "evolutionary" growth of massive Euphyllia and Frogspawn colonies.
NEW PROJECT: I’m officially starting the "Brain Trust"—a shallow Brain Coral Lagoon powered by a donated Reef Factory light. No skimmers, just biological filtration and beautiful corals.
