Energy Management Systems (EMSs)[220.70], 2023 NEC

Description

The modern electrical system isn’t what it used to be, and your load calculations shouldn’t be either. Instead of upsizing services when you add large loads, such as EV chargers, you can now manage them with an energy management system (EMS). New in the 2023 NEC is section 220.70 that focuses on the maximum load of a service controlled by an EMS.
Find out how this might affect your service calculations by watching the video where Mike and the team break down this new rule in the 2023 NEC.
