I was against the weapon fusion system at first, since I felt it kind of ruined the uniqueness of 4th and 5th weapons, but I do actually enjoy putting different elements on my weapons and seeing how they perform. And some characters could really use some good stats from their weapons. Especially when it feels like this game expects you to have a good build.
