►In this video, I will show you how to build a simple yet highly effective ferrite coil tester circuit. This circuit is capable of detecting shorted turns, evaluating ferrite core quality, and testing various inductors and transformers quickly and accurately.

The tester works with SMPS transformers, inductors, gate drive transformers, and coils used in buck and boost converters. Unlike a regular multimeter, this circuit can easily detect internal faults such as shorted turns that are otherwise very difficult to identify.

The circuit uses common components including the LM393 comparator and CD4015 shift register, making it easy to build for anyone interested in electronics.
