In this video, I will show you how to build a complete digital soldering and hot-air rework station using an Atmega microcontroller. The station features independent control of the soldering iron and hot-air gun, adjustable temperature settings, adjustable airflow control, real-time temperature monitoring, and status indicators.
The soldering iron uses a 24 volt heater and a thermocouple sensor, while the hot-air gun uses a thermocouple sensor with a 110 volt or 220 volt heating element. Throughout the video, I explain the circuit design, PCB assembly, firmware installation, fuse bit configuration, wiring connections, and system testing.
All project files, including the schematic, PCB design files, Gerber files, firmware, and other resources, are available free of charge in the description below.
⚠️ Safety Notice:
This project operates with mains voltage (220 volts). Please follow proper electrical safety procedures and only attempt this project if you have sufficient experience working with high-voltage circuits.
