Description
This is a quick preview of a generative synth I built with an Arduino microcontroller using plans from Meebleeps for his Mutant synth. The Arduino uses the Mozzi library to generate the sound. This is synced with a Korg Volca Beats which is creating the drum sequence. This is a really groovy synth because you can set it up and just let it run in the background and the program generates changes to the notes and rests to keep things interesting for you. Or you can change numerous parameters of the synth on the fly to create a huge variety of cool techno synth tones with filter, oscillator, note duration, and scale and pitch adjustments. Here I'm letting it do it's thing. I shift the pitch and erase some recorded note length changes using the push buttons. I have this running through a Roland amp with no effects. I hope to share more soon but just wanted to post a quick clip. I made some adjustments to the hardware under the hood of the Mutant today and have been enjoying jamming with it.
