Description
Taylor clears a plug of soft, dark wax, and something unexpected shows up deeper in the canal: exostosis, small bony bumps that form on the canal wall.
They're nothing to worry about until they grow enough to touch each other or block the view of the eardrum. The most common causes are a history of cold water swimming, or working outdoors in cold, windy conditions.
Have you ever been told you have exostosis? Let us know in the comments.
