Mobile Mayor Spiro Cheriogotis and FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge Miles Beckner spoke at a press conference on Oct. 21 addressing a nearly $15 million scam of city funds.
The initial statement released Oct. 20 by the city said that the loss would not impact the city’s ability to provide services and carry on with planned projects. Cheriogotis reiterated that position at the press conference.
