Charli XCX and Jaafar Jackson collaborate in my mashup 'Got Me Gone'. It features Charli XCX's single 'Gone' featuring Christine & The Queens and Jaafar Jackson's single 'Got Me Singing'. I've had this mashup idea for around 6 years but didn't find the right time to create it until I saw the 'Michael' biopic where Jaafar Jackson starred as Michael Jackson. Maybe I'm crazy, but when I first heard 'Gone' I was feeling MJ vibes within the lyrics, I could imagine it being on the 'History' album. And then Christine & The Queen's voice has similar MJ inflections at certain points which further made me feel the vibes. I couldn't think of a particular MJ song that'd work but I love this track by Jaafar and they worked perfectly. Let me know your thoughts in the comments :)
