Three water storage and extraction systems — the Dometic GO Hydration Jug with Faucet, the JerryMax adapter kit, and the On Tap Roam — each solving a different problem in a 4WD touring setup.
I've been running the Dometic GO inside both the HiLux and the LandCruiser for about six months now. The On Tap Roam is newer to my kit, and JerryMax was sent to me to try out. In this video I walk through how each one works, what I like, what I don't, and how I've landed on using them together — because no single system does everything.
I cover the real-world stuff: form factor, battery life, dust ingress, USB charging standards, how they strap down (or don't), and which faucet and pump options are actually worth the money. There are a couple of design issues I'd like to see improved, and I go through those in detail. If you're trying to sort out water storage for touring — whether you're on a budget or happy to spend a bit more — this should help you figure out what actually works.
