Autumn Cauliflower Harvest

Charles Dowding Guide 11 days ago

Description

Autumn cauliflowers grow slowly, and once the curds start forming, it can take up to two weeks before they're ready to harvest.

These were sown in late June and transplanted on 4th August, later than usual because of flea beetle problems. Now in mid to late October, we're enjoying wonderful harvests.

Unlike broccoli, cauliflowers give one main harvest. The Romanesco cauliflowers planted at the same time are still growing, and I'm hoping for a December harvest.
