This is the world’s first 360 drone from Antigravity, co-engineered with Insta360. At first, I thought the 360 idea was just a gimmick. But after using one, it is actually super cool. Not only you film everything 360 degrees. But you also can plan how to want to tell the story. During the video, I have done something I wouldn’t have got that on a regular drone. At 0:50, I was flying towards the bridge. And at the same time I was able to track the red boat going from right to left. And this is the best thing about the A1, you don’t have to think about your shot. You just fly it, then plan your angle in post.
And one thing that I really like is, you can also change the aspect radio from 16:9 for YouTube and 9:16 for social media. This is super handy. Because nowadays posting both version on the internet is very common.
Overall, I think this is a super fun drone to use. You can do so much more than a regular drone. Hopefully the next gen we get to see more video settings such as 10Bit colour and flat picture profile.
