An unusual John Deere powered, high cab Crane Carriers that was once a staple of the City of Santa Monica’s refuse fleet. Their side load versions with Curbtender bodies were far more documented, but they had a fleet of them with older Amrep HX450 front load bodies too. Valley Vista has picked up a number of ex-Santa Monica trucks, somewhat surprisingly to me given their unique specs but very cool nonetheless. Anyways, here’s one working a cleanup 4 years ago.
