Description
In this video, we cover the entire morning rush of Norfolk Southern trains on the Greenville District of the Piedmont Subdivision at Lula, GA in the wee hours of a crisp day in January. Southbound Amtrak 19 is first in line, and he comes through Lula just before sunrise. Local train P64 consisting only of a solo SD40-2 engine out of Gainesville goes north to do some switching in the area; he'll return solo again a few hours later. We also watch the long intermodal and manifest pairs, 28R/27A and 153/154, respectively. These heavy trains all feature distributed power midtrain. For a change, UP and BNSF add some color to the NS black-and-white. There's a nice mix of EMD and GE power in the video, including SD70ACe, ES44AC, AC4400CW, Dash 9, and AC44C6M locomotives. Enjoy!
